How current is the storm data?

Pages update daily. The 50-state table uses two count calls per state: SPC reports, and NWS severe-weather mentions limited to radar-indicated, radar-confirmed, observed, or spotter-observed. Hail and wind NWS counts come from that same call. Both is those NWS and SPC totals added together, not a unique event count. Filter to SPC for verified ground reports only. County pages use that same NWS cut; the 30-day gate and collapsed updates can still differ from the hub number.

Which state has the most storm activity?

Rankings shift daily. The default Both rank uses NWS severe-weather mentions plus SPC verified reports. Filter to NWS, SPC, or Severity. Column headers stay the same.
